  • Purpose: To scan QR codes for easy configuration setup with your PC/desktop application
  • Storage: QR code data is processed locally and only used for configuration purposes

Configuration Data

  • IP Address and Port: Stored locally on your device to connect to your PC/desktop application
  • Encryption Key: Generated and stored locally for secure communication between your phone and PC
  • App Preferences: Settings and configuration stored locally using Android’s preference system

Installed App Information

  • What we access: List of installed applications on your device
  • When: Only when you open the “Manage Ignored Apps” settings page
  • Purpose: To display a list of apps so you can choose which notifications to ignore
  • Processing: Data is processed ephemerally (temporarily) and not stored
  • Storage: Only your app ignore preferences are saved, not the app list itself

How We Use Information

We use the collected information solely to:

  • Forward notifications from your phone to your connected PC/desktop application
  • Maintain secure encrypted communication between devices
  • Ensure optimal performance by only sending notifications over WiFi
  • Provide QR code configuration for easy setup
  • Display installed apps to allow selective notification filtering based on your preferences

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage Only

  • All configuration data, encryption keys, and app ignore preferences are stored locally on your device
  • No data is transmitted to external servers or third-party services
  • No data is stored in cloud services or remote databases

Encryption

  • All communication between your phone and PC/desktop uses AES encryption
  • Encryption keys are generated locally and never shared with external parties

Network Communication

  • Data is only transmitted within your local WiFi network
  • No internet connection is required for core functionality
  • No data is sent to external servers or third-party services

NotiFire does not:

Query All Packages (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES)

  • Required For: Displaying list of installed apps for notification filtering setup
  • Scope: Only when “Manage Ignored Apps” settings page is active
  • Control: You choose which apps to ignore; only these preferences are saved

Data Retention

  • Configuration data is retained locally until you uninstall the app or reset the configuration
  • No historical notification data is stored
  • Clearing app data will remove all stored configuration

Children’s Privacy

NotiFire does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is intended for general use and does not specifically target children.
